What customers say?

“ Great and relaxing atmosphere. What I like most is the design and the personnel wearing traditional clothing. They were very polite and welcoming and the service was fast. I enjoy coming back every time to try a different dish. The dishes are tasty, well presented and portions are big enough. Also not too expensive for the quality as I paid 7500 cfa for my beef noodles and lemongrass infusion. ”

“ First of all, the name has been changed to Sukhothai. We had no clue and it took us a little while to realize the fact. I didn't expect to have Thai food in Cameroon but I thought it was rather decent. My fried rice was pretty dry but the flavours were quite alright. The drink I ordered was pretty mediocre, and consistency is not there with someone else at the table who ordered the same thing. And portions were rather small for what it is. And that is why it's four stars. It has a pretty nice atmosphere but they had a section for smoking guests at the front but they left the window open in between two sections, so we were mostly breathing in the smoke even though in a different section indoors. I think the only thing I can say is that this place is completely adequate. Not bad for a Thai restaurant far away from Thailand. But it's unlikely that I would go back during my stay here. ”

“ I will totally recomend this place to anyone coming to Douala and need a cozy Vietnamese food. Love the curry selection, pls do come through. The menu is just below and worth every penny. The owner is welcoming and says hi when u order a cocktail...so ”

- Laurena Asheart -

“ Overall, the place is good. The only thing I notice is their pricing for some items are overpriced. Like their seafood tum yum soup. They charge 10 000 for the smallest bowl of soup. 8-10 full spoon and the soup is finish. It fits the palm of your hand. If it was 7000-8000, it would be more reasonable. But their soup portions are the smallest i have ever seen. ”

- Jenna Carter -

“ Not sure, but it seems to be the only Thai restaurant in Douala. The actual name of the restaurant is Maï Tong; it's located in Bonapriso on the Batibois street, opposite the Opium night club and restaurant. The food is very good there and the service is also of quality. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to the Thai food lovers. In addition, it's not that expensive! ”
